TOTY Finalists Announced and you can WIN too!

The Toy Association announced yesterday the nominees for the TOTYs, aka Toy of the Year Awards.  Think Oscars for toys.  One winner in each category, as well as the coveted "Toy of the Year" award winner and the "People's Choice" winner (based solely on consumer votes), will be announced at the TOTY Awards gala to be held on Friday, February 15, 2019 at the Ziegfeld Ballroom in New York City. 

Between now and January 6, you can visit www.ToyAwards.org to vote for your top choice in 17 categories.  If you vote for a category, then you get entered to win EVERY TOY IN THAT CATEGORY!  So yeah, this is definitely something you should do.  And even if you don't win, this is a holiday shopping list of the best, hottest toys to please any kid or well, me.

Big Hasbro Marvel Announcement from Lucca!

Yesterday, we shared some Star Wars news that Hasbro announced at Lucca Comics & Games.  But you should know that they aren't done yet!  Next up, they are showing off two new additions to the Marvel Legends line!

Hasbro released some ah-maz-ing announcements during Lucca Comics & Games in Italy.  Now, we don't have many details yet but go check out these awesome shots of the newest additions to the Star Wars lines, The Black Series and Vintage Collection.

Hasbro Reveals at FAN EXPO!

FAN EXPO Canada is happening right now, and if you are like me, you aren't there.  But Hasbro has just released their Fan Expo announcement about new Marvel and Star Wars figures!

My Little Pony Rarity Fashion Runway Review

So, I've decided to try something a little different and jump into the world of unboxing videos. I teamed up with Matthew over at NerdNewsToday (because he knows how to do these things), and we dived in.

First Images for Season Two of Hasbro's Transformers: Robots in Disguise

Yesterday Hasbro announced that Transformers: Robots in Disguise will be returning for Season Two!  While we don't have any clips yet, check out these first images.

Happy May the Fourth!  Take today to celebrate all the awesome that is Star Wars!  Embrace the glory of the Force!  Or at the very least, wear a Star Wars t-shirt.

As a little May the Fourth gifty, check out Hasbro's time lapse video of fans building Cloud City! That's right, at Star Wars Celebration, Frank D’iorio’s Diorama Workshop built a massive Cloud City diorama at the Hasbro booth! They built it over four days, with the help of approximately 1500 fans who made custom pieces! The diorama is 640 square feet and consists of over 400 setpieces, including approximately 800 figures and toys by Hasbro and Kenner.

Wanna build an Autobot?

Hasbro, Inc. announced their plans for the TRANSFORMERS 30th Anniversary this year.  (Side note: A little sad I'm older than Transformers, even if its only a few months.)  They are having fans vote on a new TRANSFORMER to join the current lineup.  The winning Autobot or Decepticon will be revealed at this year's San Diego Comic Con.  You have until May 5th to enter your choices!

The Questions from Hasbro's TRANSFORMERS vote

Yes, this is a ploy to increase sales but still, I love these fan based activities.  This gives all of us fans, old and new, to be a small part of creation.  Their questions aren't bad either, which helps a lot.  I've kinda lost touch with TRANSFORMERS from my childhood, so I am excited to take part in this.  I will also do my best to be on hand for the unveiling at SDCC.  So go vote now and share your picks with us in the comments!
