Best High School Movie Trailer Ever!
Why is it the best high school movie ever? Just because it includes clips from so many others. That, Batman and the fact there is a thought process involved.
Wouldn't you want to see Gotham City High? Check it out!

Ode to the LXD: The Uprising Begins!
Instead of a traditional Video Friday, I want to talk about one of my favorite web series, The LXD: The Uprising Begins. Created by filmmaker Jon M. Chu (Step Up 2, 3D), The Uprising Begins "chronicles the journey of seemingly ordinary people who discover they have extraordinary powers and must choose their place in an epic war between good and evil" and features the most incredible dancers you will ever see.
I know I have spoken about how great it is but after seeing the most recent season, I felt I had to show you. I originally wanted to show you an episode from each season but that would give away too many spoilers. Instead, I will show you a few of the outstanding episodes from season one, which will hopefully, make you want to run to Hulu or Netflix and watch the other seasons.
This first episode is a favorite because I'm a Gleek and New Directions' resident dancer, Mike Chang (Harry Shum Jr.) stars in this. That's how the LXD initially got my attention, then I watched this and I was a Harry fan for life. He's a great dancer in the other styles I've seen him do but this is his element. The man is made of rubber.
Next is "Duet" and what draws me to this episode is it's about love, loss, and sacrifice and the way Galen Hooks and William Wingfield move is hauntingly beautiful.
Finally, because they are just so much fun and manage to fulfill the dream of most hardcore fanboys and fangirls, here is "Fanboyz" featuring Aja George, Terence Dickson, and Straphanio "Shonnie" Solomon.
I hope after watching these episodes you will run to the nearest computer and watch all the others. It gets better and better as it progresses. Until next time!

Video Friday! for 9/30/11
I, like so many of you, am super duper confused and angry by all of the changes from Netflix recently. I mean, really how does splitting the company help except make me more interested in learning about Hulu Plus and Amazon Prime?
I did find one benefit to all of this though; a lot of funny Netflix videos! Here are a few that I enjoyed!

Video Friday! 9/23/11
Here are some great videos circulating the webisphere to hep get you in the mood for the weekend!
I have sung the praises of Google+; I love it but the folks over at CollegeHumor have come up with a new social network. Rather than me telling you about it, I'll let them.
via Mashable
I think I agree with the overall message of this video.
via youtube
This is one of my favorite zombie songs ever!
via youtube
Ah, if only all zombies could communicate like that. Then we'd be able to blow their brains out while they're signing.
Take care everyone!

Video Friday! 9/9/11 (Late Night Edition)
Hi everybody! It's Friday and you know what that means... Videos!
This is one of the strangest things you'll see this week or in the upcoming weeks. I know it's an old clip but it is still insane and amusing.
via The Mary Sue
Pika Pika!

This is really cool but sometimes the guy looks a little creepy.

This is all kinds of awesome. I <3 stop motion.

Video Friday! 9/2/11
Happy Friday! Who's ready for the weekend? Here are some great videos to get you in the weekend mood!
via Bit Rebels
via Laughing Squid
Finally, the DCnU officially underway, so it is only appropriate that I include a little something from the most arguably controversial being to be rebooted, Barbara Gordon aka Oracle aka Batgirl. How great is Teal Sherer as Babs?

Take care! Be sure to enjoy the long weekend!

Video Friday! 8/26/11
Forgive the delay but in fighting off the hoards of panicking people who are trying to stock up on supplies for lil ol' Hurricane Irene, I got a little held up. But it will take more than crazed people running in the streets with their arms loaded with canned goods to prevent me from getting Video Friday to you. So here are some fun vids to get you through the night or make your hurricane wait more bearable, at least until the power blows.
This made my night. Who wouldn't want this bird as a pet?
Have you seen the Magneto deleted scene from X-Men First Class yet? One really has to wondered about Professor Xavier. Not only does he seem to be kinda kinky but even then he had a thing for redheads. Thanks Entertainment Weekly!
This is just the cutest thing ever.
And finally, because we are about to get hit by Hurricane Irene (supposedly), I think it's only right to include this:
To the East Coast, please be careful, stay safe and take whatever precautions are advised. To the rest of the country and world, have a great weekend!

Video Friday! 8/19/11
Happy Friday!!! Here's what's been floating around the web.
This has to be one of my all time favorite "celebrities doing awesomely funny things on tv" moments. Not only does Anne Hathaway prove she can rap but her "I can't believe I just did that" expression and blush makes the whole thing even better.
All I can say about this is WANT!
via Geeks Are Sexy
Dark Horse Comics posted this on their Facebook page and it was too good to resist. Who knew Ewoks could move?
This one raises a very good point. If they had the ability to go back in time, why not use it? Why leave it to a child to save the world? Just sayin'
via Dorkly
Finally, this shows us what people are really thinking when dealing with others in the game of office politics. Is it exaggerated? Of course, but it is also pretty true and that's what makes it great.
via The Awesomer
Have a fantabulous weekend!

Video Friday! 8/12/11
Happy Friday one and all! Here are some great videos that popped up this week.
This remake of the classic Pinball Number 12 brought back some nice memories. It's one of the few old timey bits they still play on Sesame Street.
Cuddle like a pro with Uncle Jesse himself with the help of a very special friend.
I have been pretty vocal about my feelings on Google+, but I think this sums it up better.
via Geeks Are Sexy
I admit my love of Game of Thrones is starting to become a little consuming, but dagnabit, this is funny! Also NSFW!
via CollegeHumor
And finally, it's the games of old dealing with the new games, Godfather style.

Hello Gentle Viewers! How is everyone doing? Are you suffering in the heat? Fear not! Here are some fun videos to help cool you down.
And since we all know today is Captain America Day, it wouldn't be right not to include a little something for him. Enjoy!

Harry Potter Video Friday! 7/15/11
Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part 2 opens today. It is a bittersweet moment that has been long waited for but now that it's here, many of us wish we had a little more time. Since we are celebrating Potter this week, it's only fitting that Video Friday be all about Harry. So here are some great vids I found this week.
So long Harry, Ron, and Hermoine! Thanks for the memories.

Here are some great videos floating around that little 'verse we call the interwebz.
This is just too great! Shopping while you wait? Sign me up!

This is a gorgeous rendition of The Game of Thrones theme, which I found via Ms. Felicia Day on Google+. It's moments like these I wish I still played an instrument. Jason Yang is simply wonderful.
It's about time someone had some fun with the NFL lockout.
This just became one of my favorite True Blood parodies. Bill and Sookie's accents are spot on. Thank you Geek Girl Diva for posting this.
Nathan Fillion wants to help you combat a terrible problem afflicting gamers.

Have a great weekend everyone! Next week, it's all about Harry Potter!

Video Friday!!! 4th of July Edition
Ah, Independence Day! This is the time we celebrate with BBQs, fireworks and most importantly, remembering and honoring the soldiers who have served our country and the ones who serve today. This is for all of you!
Thank you to all the men and women in our armed forces!
Have a happy and safe 4th of July!

Video Friday! 6/17/11
For the last week of website highlighting, I want to feature one of my all time favorite sites, The Awesomer. Getsuyobi introduced me to it and once he did, it became one of my go-to spots. Everyday, The Awesomer finds the funniest, most interesting, disgusting, crazy and amazing stuff the web has to offer. Here is a taste.
Next week, I'll be back and bringing you even better stuff. Have a great weekend!

Video Friday! 5/27/11
Happy Friday everyone!
Before we dive into the fun, a bit of sad news. Last week, the wrestling community lost one of its greats, Macho Man Randy Savage. He was a brilliant wrestler, entertainer and spokesman. (Snap into a Slim Jim!) He was one of my favorites and a long time ago, in an airport I don't remember, I got to meet him and Miss Elizabeth. I was trying to find a clip to highlight Macho Man's awesomeness but there was so much to choose from. I eventually came across this clip, courtesy of My Take Radio, and this shows part of why I liked him so much. There's no question about his talent as a wrestler but he was also charismatic and hilarious. Definitely a guy I'd want to have a few drinks with.
Here's to you, Macho Man! Our thoughts are with your family and friends.
Wednesday was Geek Pride Day, so I've been on the lookout for the geekiest videos I could find this week. Here are a few.

The Pre-Rapture Video Friday!
Hi all! Real Life has been kicking me in the butt lately but luckily, I found some videos that helped stave off the insanity for a few minutes at a time.
A Love Story… In Milk from Catsnake on Vimeo.

NSFW!!!

Now I don't want you to think I forgot that, according to some, tomorrow is when the rapture is upon us. I wasn't sure what to do, but then I came across this, and I knew all would be okay.
In case the world really does end tomorrow and I can't get internet access (NOOOO!!!), it's been swell and don't forget to grab your big bags for the post Rapture looting. Otherwise, have a great weekend!

Video Friday for Friday the 13th!
With Wysefyre out studying for finals, I get to cover this week's Video Friday. With it being Friday the 13th, I'm going super-predicable hokey with some "What can Jason do?" videos! For the record, I watched all of these while I ate dinner. Bad plan. Not that they are super gross but just didn't settle well.
First up, this one grossed me out mostly because it was in a food establishment. The title really gives it away, "Jason Gets Fired."
Next up is a fun fan film that follows Jason as "Jason Goes Shopping."
And finally a montage of what Jason does best done by Spike TV and Cinemassacre, "Top 13 Friday the 13th Moments"
Until next time......

Video Friday! 5/6/11
Hello everyone! I have taken control of Video Friday again. The battle between me and Wilderowens was long and difficult but in the end, I was victorious! Bwuahahahaha! Let us begin.
Free Comic Book Day is tomorrow. It is one of my favorite days because I love getting exposed to new books and it's free! If you are unfamiliar with this awesome day, here's a video talking about why it is so great. Thanks JC for sending it to me.
This is just neat. It's a gorgeous mutation of Batman's logo over the years. Until this, I hadn't realized just how many incarnations the logo had.
(via Newsarama)
This totally made me melt. Most females know that many males are forgetful about things like anniversaries. So it's usually a surprise (a nice one) when the male not only remembers but goes above and beyond and does something heartfelt and wonderfully geeky. I'm probably completely nuts for saying this but I would definitely take this over a box of chocolates any day... and I really love chocolate.
(via So Geek Chic)
May 4th was Star Wars Day! A day to celebrate all that is Star Wars, good and bad. In my search for Star Wars videos, I came across this video done by Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. All I could think was how did I miss it? Enjoy!
Finally, do you know what came out today? Thor! It's finally here and I am super excited for it. It looks like it will be a great film. But you know who has reservations about it? Conan O'Brien. He's a little concerned that the wrong guy was cast as Thor. Here's what he has to say.
There you have it, this week's Video Friday. Remember, if you find something you think should be featured here, send it to insertgeekhere@gmail.com.

Video Friday: Short Film Edition
Wysefyre is really sick this week, so I finally get control of Video Friday again!!! Mwuahahahahahahahaha!
So in my genius-ness of film, I bring you some short films that I really enjoy. I mean, Really Enjoy.First up is a fan film called The Fighting Avenger. This film takes a look at Captain America as he comes to the rescue of a small unit of American G.I.'s during WWII. If you likes it, take a look at this interview with the film's director and co-writer Julian Higgins.
Next is a favorite of mine that I have shown on IGH before, Elm City Wuxia from Director Jet Paine. I still can't get over that he made this with a budget of $0! Check out his upcoming project, Vampires Don't Sparkle.
Finally, here is Pencil it In, a touching insight into cartoonists and their tools from the Toronto Comic Art Festival. The festival is May7-8, and if you are in the area you should check it out.
Now don't you fret, Wysefyre will probably wrestle control back from me in time for next week....probably.
