Mezco has done it again! This year's showing at Toy Fair was incredibly strong. They have a ton of great things coming out, particularly in the One:12 Collective line. Personally, I'm a little in love with that Captain Marvel, but OMG! They're doing a Keaton Batman! I can't wait! Yes, I'm being extremely emphatic, but that's because I'm really excited about what's coming out. Take a look for yourself.
Other standouts for me are Scooby Doo, The Warriors, and The Living Dead Shining Dolls. How creepy and great does that Jack Torrance look? The twins look eerie, but they can also be written off as old fashioned style dolls. That Jack Torrance will mess you up, and it's all because of the eyebrows. A perfect example of why details matter. What Mezco reveals are you most excited for?

Welcome to Part 2 of our sneak peek of Mezco Toyz upcoming One:12 figures. Here we have the DC and Marvel figures to gush over. On the DC side, standouts include the Joker (comic book version), Darkseid, and Batman Beyond Over on the Marvel side, you have 90's Cyclops, Spider-Man Homecoming, and a gorgeous Hela. Mezco has outdone themselves this year! Take a look, and be sure to tell us your must buys in the comments below!
Fidget spinners and fidget cubes have swept the nation as a device to help kids keep their hands busy so their minds can focus. It's a great idea. Granted, if misused, it drives parents and teachers crazy, but it's still a solid concept. I know adults who have started using them as well. Which leads us to today. Matthew over at NerdNewsToday and I are taking a look at the Zuru DC and Marvel Comics Fidget Cubes by Antsy Labs.

That's right, earlier this evening Marvel Studios posted a short film about the start of Infinity War Part 1. They went into production about two weeks ago, and already we are getting a small taste. Check out the video below and let us know if you are excited too!
Nope, this isn't a joke! You can get your hands on that tiny but powerful tree thanks to Entertainment Earth. That's right, next up in their line of Pin Mates is the weirdest collection of heroes anywhere, Guardians of the Galaxy! The whole team jumps off the movie screen and can easily hang out in your home. But really, it's all about Groot. Best part is that all the Pin Mates are completely wooden, so this Groot is actually a tree. Well, sorta. Check out the press release details after the break.
I haven't really been paying much attention to what's been going on with Iron Fist, because I don't know the character very well. I just knew I was going to watch it because of how strong Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and Luke Cage have been. I was wrong. I should have been paying more attention. I need to know more. March 17th can't get here soon enough.
Take a look and tell us what you think.

Seriously though, who wouldn't want this guy hanging out in their evil lair? He is great at inspiring the masses towards....er...evil, I guess. Check out all the stellar details in the press release.
Captain America: Civil War opened on May 6th. After anxiously waiting and trying to free up my schedule, I was finally able to see it this past weekend. I can’t tell you what a relief that was. I’ve been avoiding all mentions of Civil War on my social media. It hasn’t been an easy task. I’m really proud of my friends for not spoiling the movie, because it was worth the wait.
There are a lot of reviews out there that can better dissect what works and doesn’t work, so I’m not going to dwell on that. Instead, I want to talk about some of the things that made an impression on me.
In a move that surprises no one, but is still quite upsetting, ABC has officially given Agent Carter the axe.
I’m having a hard time writing about this, because I don’t understand why ABC doesn’t realize how important Peggy Carter is. She’s a smart, wickedly funny, spirited woman who kicks ass, and who has to contend with being female in the 40s-50’s. The show had a great support cast, with atypical characters such as Jarvis and Sousa, and even better, the show wasn’t dark and gritty. That’s not to say dark and gritty events didn’t transpire, but this was show that also operated in the light with bright colors.
The second trailer for X-Men: Apocalypse has arrived, and it looks good. Like many, I have been on the fence about this. Mostly because of Apocalypse looking too much like Ivan Ooze, but also because the story seemed weak. I was excited about Bryan Singer being at the helm, but after seeing the character designs and the direction the plot seemed to go in, I became more skeptical. Let's face it, X-Men: DoFP was a decent movie, but problematic. That said, this trailer is starting to make me believe again. It looks like Mystique is going to be leading the X-Men, which is just weird, and I'm still not buying Magneto as a Horseman, because I can't see him letting anyone have that much control over him, but Storm, Psylocke, and Archangel look believable. The visual effects look solid, the plot seems coherent, and now knowing more about Oscar Isaac as an actor, I'm beginning to hope. Below is the official synopsis:
Following the critically acclaimed global smash hit X-Men: Days of
Future Past, director Bryan Singer returns with X-MEN: APOCALYPSE. Since
the dawn of civilization, he was worshipped as a god. Apocalypse, the
first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’sX-Men universe, amassed the
powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon
awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world
as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a
disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create
a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth
hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of
Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their
greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.
X-Men: Apocalypse arrives in theaters May 27, 2016

The new trailer for Marvel's Captain America: Civil War has finally arrived, and it packs a wallop! Not only do we get a better sense of how the story is going to unfold, but we also get a glimpse at how Spider-Man is going to fit into everything. Check it out below.
I'm excited to see Spidey, but I'm not sure how I feel about his suit. It leans a little too much towards the comic books. Normally, I'd be happy to see more comic book elements in the movies, but in this case, Spider-Man's vibrant red suit looks out of place. I hope it's just one awkward shot, and he looks fine for the rest of his appearance. But other than that, this trailer is making me wish May 6th would get here quickly.
The official synopsis for the movie is "Marvel’s “Captain America: Civil War” finds Steve Rogers leading the newly formed team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. But after another incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability, headed by a governing body to oversee and direct the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers, resulting in two camps—one led by Steve Rogers and his desire for the Avengers to remain free to defend humanity without government interference, and the other following Tony Stark’s surprising decision to support government oversight and accountability."
What do you think about Spider-Man's appearance? And does this trailer make you more or less excited to see the movie?

It has been a crazy amazing time at Toy Fair 2016! We have seen soooooooo much and honestly, I'm a bit overwhelmed by the amount of amazing! One of my favorite lines is the One:12 Collective from Mezco Toyz. Every time they add a new character, it just gets better and better. We made sure to talk about the future of this line with Pierre from Mezco Toyz.
It's safe to say that the marketing for the much anticipated Deadpool movie has been amazing. They all deserve raises. Seriously, give them mucho money.
So for the Super Bowl trailer, they didn't give us anything really new. Nothing surprising there because the film is only days away from the release. However, we did get some great snark from Deadpool himself.
So are you going to see this on Friday? If you aren't sure, check out the Super Bowl trailer to help you decide.

Not to be outdone, Fox shared the X-Men: Apocalypse trailer during the trailer-palooza that is Super Bowl 50.
To be honest, I wasn't a big fan of Days of Future Past, so I was hesitant about Apocalypse. I am willing to admit that this was a pretty good trailer. I was even pleased with the quick glimpse at Olivia Munn's Psylocke. But make sure to check it out for yourself!

So by now, most of you have probably tuned in and watched Marvel's Jessica Jones on Netflix. Wysefyre and I both really enjoyed it, but especially one particular part. I can tell you but be warned. It's spoilery so don't keep reading unless you watched the entire season. Like, seriously. This is something that takes place in season one but hints to things potentially happening in season two. Ok, if you are still here, it's at your own risk.

Diamond Select Toys has released new photos of the Marvel Minimates "Days of Future Past" box set, and let me tell you, they look goooood. If you're a fan of minimates or DoFP, you're going to want these. Press Release: "At this week's Comic Con International in San Diego, Diamond Select Toys and Art Asylum will release their Marvel Minimates box set based on the classic X-Men comic storyline, "Days of Future Past." Published in Uncanny X-Men #141 and 142, the story showed a grim future where mutants were second-class citizens that had been largely exterminated by giant Sentinels, and it became one of the touchstones of the X-Men mythos.
The 4-pack of Minimates captures some of the storyline's most important characters – Future Wolverine, Future Kitty Pryde, Mystique and a Future Sentinel. Each stands approximately 2 inches tall with a variety of interchangeable parts and accessories, and we've taken some photos to show off all those parts! Check out the photos in the gallery, then come to booth 2607 on the show floor to pick up a set for $20, or check with your local retailer to see if they can order it in for you!" "Since he was first introduced in 1962, the Incredible Hulk's fame has grown by leaps and bounds. And now Diamond Select Toys has teamed up with marvelshop.com to grant fans early access to an exclusive Hulk action figure!
Starting on June 23rd, marvelshop.com will be the only place to order the Marvel Select Savage Hulk action figure, featuring an exclusive sculpt of the gamma-irradiated Avenger.
